The beginnings of promotion for a 2018 year Alfa, clearly named and aimed for cycling/hot car connoiseurs such as a lot of you! :)

Nice iconic shot of the Stelvio in the pictures too.

I want one.

In a month I'll be on the Stelvio, too.

Reminds me of the Mazda CX-5.

That thing is hideous, to my eye.

OK, as a long-time lover of Alfas, it's appalling to me that they would have a SUV. However, this does look pretty cool. Maserati and Jaguar now have SUVs. Why not Alfa?

It would be fun to take one of these out to the Texas Mile and see what kind of top end run it would actually do.

From the front...grotesque. All other angles...looks like a Macan.

Maserati and Alfa are the same company ( Fiat ). You do the math.

FYI: if the quality control of the Alfa is anything like the Maserati and Fiat, I'd steer clear.

We looked at the Maserati SUV before deciding on a MBZ. I just couldn't get behind the reliability issues I believe would occur. But, it is truly a gorgeous automobile!

While you're doing the math, note that Fiat also owns Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep.

And don't forget the Moto Guzzi Stelvio:

I was referring more to brand than parent offerings.

Don't forget Ferrari, Lancia, Lada, and no telling how many others...

I saw one at the NY auto show a couple days ago. Was nice but I would buy a Giulia instead any time.

Point being...Italian plus American equals unreliability.

Fiat doesn't own Ferrari any longer...

In October 2014 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced its intentions to separate Ferrari from FCA; as of the announcement FCA owned 90% of Ferrari.[11][12]

The separation began in October 2015 with a restructuring that established Ferrari N.V. as the new holding company of the Ferrari group and the subsequent sale by FCA of a 10% of the shares in an IPO and concurrent listing of common shares on the New York Stock Exchange.[13] Through the remainings steps of the separation, FCA's interest in Ferrari's business was distributed to shareholders of FCA, with a 10% continuing to be owned by Piero Ferrari.[14]

On January 3, 2016, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. and Ferrari N.V. announced the completion of separation of the Ferrari business from the FCA group on the same day, with trading on the Mercato Telematico Azionario set to begin on January 4, 2016, under the RACE ticker symbol and the ISIN code NL0011585146.[15][16]

I have been casually looking from afar at the Giulia and the Stelvio. I have driven the 4C in the past. My first new car was a 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV, so I have Alfa red in my blood.

My concern is that they are both just a little too small for me as I use my car for work and need more back seat leg room. I drive a BMW X5 which has been a perfect size, but I don't like how the ride and steering have been softened up on the current X5s. Plus I would like to have something different.
