This is a simple one. I am using 10speed through out a bike except for the crank/chainrings, which is 11speed.

Should I be using a 10 or 11 speed front derailleur to make the best shifting option?

Using 10speed right now and it does shift ok. Not great, but I also know how to adjust a derailleur so while it could very well be user error, just curious if there is a better choice between the two options.

Thanks

I hear the newer Yaw style 11s FD is quite the upgrade and is compatible with 10s. I'd go with that!

I'm running it on three bikes with no issues. your rings don't matter. only thing is you'll have an extra/useless click on the left shifter (the unused trim click). no biggie.

it's a little fiddly to set up the first time but once you got it, you'll love it. not having to trim is incredible.
