View Full Version : Colnago V1-R Help...

Hello all,

I am considering pulling the trigger on a new frame and am thinking of going with the Colnago V1-R frame. I am wanting to do Campy Record 11sp but was reading about the brakes and the Campy is not compatible so you need to use Colnago branded ones. How is the performance of the Colnago compared to the Campy? I know Shimano is compatible but I'd like to stick with the Campy stuff.

Any help or suggestions are welcomed!

Direct mount brakes. I am going to bet the Colnago brakes and Tektro's and likely fine. That said, Shimano is better than Tektro. Even with a Campagnolo drivetrain.
Good pads and cables will help Tektros a lot.
