View Full Version : CX bIke for 5'2'' friend
Looking for a CX bike for a lady friend that's 5'2" tall built proportionately.
She's been riding her FS mtb on gravel, rode, and dirt and wants to move up to a XC bike.
I posted in the classifieds for a used CX bike, nothing yet.
This morning looking at some new bikes under $1500, any suggestions?
Below are some, thoughts?
Thanks

The Niner looks cool, but it's an adventure bike. The Masi will be heavy, which is of particular concern for shorter/smaller riders. The Cannondale is a great bike, and the alloy versions are good value.
I saw your WTB ad, but my Small Giant TCX Advanced would still be too big for her, and likely out of budget.
If she's a MTB'er why not build a light XC bike and swap tires?

Was just thinking that. Small MTBs seem to fit better than small road or cross frames.

Thanks all for the advise! I think she is sold on wanting a CX bike, and may be willing to spend more. So again any recommendation much appreciated.

No idea about the budget but you can get a nice diamond back haanjo like for 600 bucks and in your friend's size.
Maybe this one??? it comes in XS size aswell that might fit him better IMO.
