a straight blade fork? Really, I have only ridden one nice steel fork-Serotta RTX if I'm not mistaken for about a year and a half. Just curious as I have a curved one on my old Panasonic-no comparison to be had though.

Beautiful frame btw. Lugly-has to be my favorite thus far!

curved forks are prettier atmo--and most others with taste. :)

I didn't know Dave Kirk was doing flavored forks these days.

Beautiful bike catulle. What color are you going to paint it!

atmo: If it only takes 10 minutes, it isn't art.

Seeing DK's work in progress is great. The pictures showing the fork blades being curved are so cool. Thanks for the update.

Why not...
a straight blade fork?
Dave has posted in the past that while he was at Serotta he watched a straight bladed fork and a curved fork perform on a test machine. As a result, I don't think he believes straight bladed forks should be on bicycles.

Beautiful. I especially like the seat cluster. Though I have to admit, like fstrthnus I was looking at the background too. Love that floor. Haven't convinced myself to do it in part of my garage (yet).

It's very cool the way that Dave involves the owners with the construction of their new bike via pics. It gives them more 'ownership' than just having a box arrive on their doorstep with a frame inside.

When I had my Kirk built, I watched Dave draft my frame at his table. It was almost like watching it being born.

VERY perty--and I don't even like lugs!

Is this your garage? Are you building this yourself?

This is Dave's garage. Yes, I think I'll build it myself, except that the logistics of getting the parts and components might be a little difficult because of where I live; I'm working on that now, if I can get it all sorted out I'll build it myself. Actually, even when buying a complete bicycle, I take most of it apart and put it back together just to make sure I know the condition of the bicycle before I ride it.

Bianchi "celeste" with white head tube and a white panel on the seat tube. Thank you for the kind words.

I think it's going to be gorgeous -- already is!

Really, those colors sound great, and I can't wait to see it after JB splashes some paint on it.

Man, I always figured I'd order a Della Santa, these pics have planted other seeds. Dave Kirk is a true artist. The folks who speak till their blue about other materials will never get it. It's like comparing techno or gangsta rap to Sara Vaughn or Chet Baker.

Muchas gracias. I think you would truly enjoy dealing with Dave. His frames are top-notch and he is a hell of a good guy. You won't ever regret ordering a frame from him. Cheers.

Wood.

More wood than oregon.

Little blue pill unnecessary.

That is a thing of beauty, and it has been fun seeing glimpses of the development.

Just when I want to cash out and be a vagrant, I see reason to continue the economic battle against poverty and entropy.

And I have always been fond of celeste. And her sister.

Gosh, that's nice.
