Nice weather here in NEArk. Sunny. Warm. Umm......gusty winds from the SW @ 25 mph. Tailwind: soft pedaling at 23 mph. Any other direction,,slogging along at 13-15 mph. Probably the first day riding these 55mm depth Mercury wheels that I could actually tell they were deeper than my 38mm Eastons.

Otherwise -- nice ride,, even though only 32 miles. Felt like 52 miles.

Much the same to the South of you in Louisiana. It always amazes me how that head wind on the way out has a way of laying down on the way home and you don't get as much reward for your work as you thought.

Got out both days, :) Saturday was a bunch of rocks and hills for a couple of hours.

Sunday 72 deg. and a 20mph straight south wind, dang, that means if I want a tailwind to finish I have to go through town, twice. Ok, that's all pavement, I can break out the road bike for the first time this year, (yeah, I know). Since the bike wasn't ready to go and a tube and pump live there, I just pumped the tires, threw on a bottle, rolled. It was great! Just like the old days. No PM, no clock, nothing. I just pushed a little into the wind with the 19, rolled the 13 back with the wind. I know the route is about 36 miles, 1:45ish so it's all ok. I'm still smiling, fat and out of shape ain't all bad. Spent the afternoon working on a new cherry bed for Mrs TR and I :) Last project before I start packing for the move.

Beers now before I launch the grill and throw on a bunch of veggies and some marinated chicken breasts.

I rode a (fairly) fast 40 miles this morning - as well as yesterday afternoon on my newly revamped steel Koga/Miyata race bike. I updated the cockpit 2 days ago with wider bars, longer stem, silver bar tape (from blue), new tires, a very light seat, and some various Ti bits. Still some updates to go but the bike is really coming along nicely.

Love to ride that road, looks like a nice change from what I usually see.
