View Full Version : advice needed from c35/50 tubular owners
I bought a pair of c35 tubular wheels off of the local craigslist last year. I just removed the tires and cleaned the rim and found a "divot" opposite from the valve stem hole. Is this normal or do I have a pair of defective wheels? Same divot for both front and rear.
Great riding wheels but obviously not worth the risk if they're compromised or not a genuine Shimano product.

Probably where they removed the bladder used for molding, then closed the opening with a separate layer of carbon fiber.
You got those wheels super clean though. That must have taken forever. My tubular wheels aren't that clean even when new.
whew! thanks guys.
goo gone makes glue removal painless.

I do not know the wheels but I suspect they do that on purpose so the tubular seats better and the valve area, which sometimes gets a funny fit.
