My daughter has been using one of these in DC since last year and is very pleased.

I saw hers recently, and thought of the thread on locks that came up about a week ago. Hers is the herringbone black and white look. Thought this might interest some paceliners.

I've seen some videos of this lock being broken by twisting it with a bar.

No personal experience, but this would be enough to steer me away if I were in the market.

Well, thanks for the followup everyone. I'll pass all this on to my daughter. Her bike isn't worth a lot, but she likes it.

Sorry, was at work and didn't have time to dig for the links.
I just remembered that going around. The thing that I dislike the most it the fact that the company got youtube uk to take down the video in the uk.
They said it was defamation. So, showing a security cam video of a bike that uses your lock being stolen is considered defamation? Their answer was to make their own video which is hilarious.

One thing that always frustrates me - particularly in the US - is that lock sales seems to be pitched towards high risk areas with lengthy parking times. I don't live in a big city and all I need for a lock is just something to discourage a quick impulse steal while I am shopping for groceries. I don't need my bike to be surrounded by armed guards. There aren't any professional thieves waiting for an opportunity where I am likely to park my bike. I just don't want to give some kid an invitation to ride rather than walk home. Probably most of the time I don't need any lock. In fact something light and easy to carry like the one mentioned is much more likely to be used.

Just because it's called litelok doesn't mean it's lite.
It's a hefty 1.1 kg. or 2.4lbs. In comparison the Abus Granite 640 is only 840 grams and it's a highly recommended lock. Even better then the Kryptonite yellow locks.
