Just scored a complete nearly NOS Record 10 Racing Triple Groupset w Record carbon post and Bonty wheels at what is to me a very reasonable price - 175mm too. It's funny how sometimes the eBay Gods come through right when you need them - was getting pi$$ed I couldn't find an Athena silver group for my next project and almost was going to settle for older Veloce 9spd... My excitement for this build just got cranked to 11!

Silver and triple, what classy frame is this going on?

Flagrant foul here, but I've got a 175mm silver 50/40/30 Centaur
Triple I could part with.

New silver Comp Triple 30-40-50 2008 version. E Bay. Various arm lengths available. About $150 shipped. This was Campy triple after 2004 Record/Chorus went out of production. Beautiful finish. Takes standard Centaur 111 BB (cheap and available). 115.5 for some large down tubes, but I always used it on 32MM down tube with 111. (Record/Chorus triple take 111 also....but a different asymmetrical 111.....Phil Wood makes a nice BB for this 110.5 +3)

Good to know on the BB - I'm hopeful the one they send will be in good shape - it's supposed to be Eng threaded..

So much for eBay delivering...

Box showed up today with two cracked wheels, worn out ergos with delaminating levers, a banged up rear derailleur with stuck jockeys, and damaged carbon on the post. So much for "great condition" and "very low miles" :crap: :crap: :crap:

Currently working through the Request a Return process with eBay - seller didn't offer returns, but with the inaccurate ad I think I'll have eBay on my side.

Win some, lose some.

That sucks! It happened to me, too.
I just got a chorus seatpost (Crecord era). It was the short version which I was looking for. Turns out the seatpost broke in half and someone welded it back together, sanded it down, etc. You can still see a slight buldge and some tiny cracks around the edge of the welds. The seller didn't mention this in his listing and the photos were shot in a way that you could not see the issue.
It didn't cost much so I just put it in the funny bike parts bin.

Well, if all you are left with is a pile of parts, no return and a negative feedback to give..send the levers to me and I can OVH them.

Thanks, but it's all being taken care of - I'm just out some shipping and have to reconsider the build..

I believe the Comp Triple I mentioned above still available NEW on E bay. I would prefer them over the older Record/Chorus Triples. The older Record/Chorus triples use same non drive arm as doubles, so asymmetrical BB spindle has to be 3 mm longer on non drive side. Comp has same nice finish I believe....just doesn't have the hidden arm feature.

The newer Comps and Centaur triples have a "dog leg" in non drive arm....so they can use the much simpler more available symmetrical 111 Centaur BB.

It's easy to build with NEW old school Campy silver triple, better than the one you are sending back. Probably cheaper as well.

New hood style power shift Veloce triple (not ones for double only) shifters still available real cheap. They work great....I'm currently using some with a Centaur triple. I recently saw a Centaur silver triple FD at Planet Cycle for about $30. it's exactly same as the old Record triple shifter I have.

New (NOS) Comp triple on E bay (about $150 shipped) in 30-40-50 170 or 175.

Any Campy Med cage 10's RD will work with above. Even with 12-25, 13-26, 13-29, or 12-30.
