Im looking for a new set of gloves for the season. I am realizing the padding on the palms of my cheap giros starts to dig into my palms after 40 miles or so and i get a little pressure point on the thumb pad part. if i remove my gloves the pressure goes away.
but i like to ride in gloves because i like to fall riding gravel sometimes.:hello:
so im looking for a light weight fingerless glove with no additional padding in the palm, just covers for my hands really.
any recommendations? i was just online shopping and all the big makers gloves have pads on them. I know i saw a more boutique glove that had no padding, but no idea where i saw them.
Help me please paceline
thanks

Aren't the Giro Zeros padless? Or do they not make those anymore?

One option is to invest in some Cuero leather gloves from Recovered Cycling. Link in the forum sponsors above. Worth the price for comfort and durability.

The Cuero gloves are super nice. I am ready for the cold season to be over so I can use them more.

I've been really happy with the Peak kangaroo gloves. http://www.peakcyclewear.com/peak-vintage-velo-gloves/
Also available through eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/172019413313
The Rapha Pro Team are not padded as are the Giro Zero gloves.

What size do you need?
I have a pair of Jasons "blems" that were worn once by the wife. Not enough padding for her. Size small and look perfect.

Padding in the palms, or around the edge of your hands? I've gotten totally converted to the Specialized Grails, pretty much all I wear any more-- they are padless EXCEPT in the middle of the palm, which takes pressure off the ulnar area. They really, really work for me, and feel basically like a padless glove.

Automotive driving gloves? Probably less expensive than unpadded bike gloves

+1
I prefer padding on the bar. Minimal or none for the glove.
I ride with driving gloves. Its one of my options.
For fingerless, I really do like the Rapha GT gloves

Get some Cueros and you'll be all set. I liked them so much I bought two pair. Best gloves I've ever used and very well crafted.

Odyssey gloves... yep the bmx dudes make some nice ones for pretty cheap. I've got a black pair and had a white pair until my dog got to them
