Went up for sale on FB online marketplace. Seller toured it as being painted by a local artist and how beautiful it was.. I wasn't convinced.

I've seen something like this around here, except I don't believe it has the tube between the toptube and bottom tube. It's just circular stays...I'll have to keep a look out and see if I can snap a shot.

Geez... I actually still own a Kestrel KM40 frame. I thought the bike looked pretty awesome, it rode super well! All those mid-90's Tri bikes were odd and experimental. But even some of the newer Tri bikes (Shiv, Slice RS, etc...) are fugly.

I'll confess, I think the Serotta faded paint schemes (yellow and pink specifically) are pretty ugly.

Could use some matching (or non-existent) wheel decals, but that thing's pretty sweet!

Any frame sized under 54cm or over 58cm. Geometry maybe there to suit the riders of said sizes but not always...and said triangles just look weird especially with wheels.

...and that's why I quit posting pictures of my bikes on this forum. Too many uniformity freaks out there criticizing people who don't conform to their narrow standards.

Yeah, it touched a nerve. But comments like that strike me as pretty intolerant.

Well I wouldn't go out of my way to say someones bike is ugly because it's either small or big. I just expressed myself here where I felt it a bit more appropriate. I am a bit biased as I can fit anything from 54 to 56 given adjustments but really to me they just have a more pleasing to the eye squareness.

I find little bikes ugly, they gotta be over 61cm to be pleasing to the eye. ;) Smaller bikes are just out proportion... at least my proportions... not that any of us would be biased towards our own size or anything. [emoji14]

If you find a Pegoretti Luigino ugly then you are sick in the head and there is no cure.

Pegoretti is the Italian Landshark. If you're a fanboy of either, the other is ugly. If you're not, then both of them are.

Blablabla..
Pegoretti has many different paint schemes. Way different from each other.
The Luigino has usually the nec plus ultra of classic cycle painting.
Calling "fan boy" got old ten years ago. It´s 2017 and there is a clue, find it. Buying stuff does not equal having taste or knowing *** is going on.

Painting? Pegorettis are the most beautifull bikes ever.

i am a huge pegoretti fan. Dario Pegoretti is the classiest act ever, in my book.

Okay, fanboy.

Okay, fanboy.

Glad it took you some work to find proof of my admiration for the man´s heart and art. Stay idle w/ nothing else to do and you end up passing bad judgement on good stuff. You couldn´t find any time to badmouth the pic I posted of Dario´s FG since you were busy searching the forum. Maybe the problem is finding something to do.

You're all over the internet, on all kinds of sites singing the praises of one particular framebuilder, not just this one. That's the adolescent equivalent of obsessing over a certain band, over and over and over. It doesn't take much idle time to Google "Colker Pegoretti" and when you do, the "let me tell you why my favorite band is the best in the world!" drivel is plentiful.

We get it. Pegoretti is the best builder ever. He's your high water mark, and everything else pales in comparison for many quantifiable reasons. And his bikes and paintjobs are "art", because, because. You see Pegoretti, I see Landshark. Please don't take it personally. If you can, that is.

But if you do, it's only because someone with too much time on his idle hands struck a nerve with Dario's Biggest Fan™. Sorry about that.
