I have three pairs of Adidas.

Yup. Sure do.

3 pair Sp'ed
2 pair Giro
2 pair Mavic
1 pair Diadora (old lace ups)

That doesn't even get into dress shoes or other non-cycling shoes.

LOL!!The male tendency towards accumulation. We don't collect. We accumulate gear.

I have

3 pairs of dress shoes

5 pairs of western boots

And more cycling, running, trail running, hiking and mountaineering shoes/boots then I can count.

I do need some new Tevas.

Oh, and don't forget the cross country skiing boots and the 5 wheel skates.

My regular rotation is

Three pairs of Aldens
Two pairs of Prada
One pair Paul Smith
Three pair nikes
Two pair vans star wars
One pair Adidas star wars
One pair bonus
Two pairs sidi

Then there are the shoes I don't wear often.......

For a few years I was on a wear test team for a new line of running shoes from a well-established shoe company. I had so many test shoes... Prototypes, multiples of the same with different color schemes, all-weather uppers... Probably fifteen pairs just from that company. And that didn't even include the other running shoes I already had, plus cycling shoes (MTB, winter MTB, road, trainer, and an old pair that I just can't seem to throw out), work shoes, dress shoes...

That reminds me, I still need to replace my hiking boots.

No, but I have a lot of bike bells. I think more than I do bikes.

The whole Imelda Marcos shoes thing was overdone. As I recall, not long after I read someplace the number of pairs of shoes she had, it was something like 175 or so...my wife could lose 175 pair and still make it through most of the year, and never touch a pair twice. I got to 300 once, and stopped counting.

Me:
4 pair Fizik
2 shimano
2 giro
1 5/10 rubber for flats

Daily it's A Edmonds, cole haan or merrill...mostly

I used to have more cycling shoes. Even the easy to make fun of shimano cycling sandals (used on bike path with young daughter way back)

Now I have just 2 road + 2 mountain
- sidi wire (most of the time)
- giro factor (when it rains)
- shimano M220 (thrashing)
- giro code (about to replace the M220)

going to sell off my s-works XC mtb shoes which I used a bit with SPD for in city riding/walking/ferry ride.
