View Full Version : ISO 55cm Classic Steel

I've been in search of a good to excellent condition 55cm classic steel frameset with a flat crown fork....it absolutely must have a super sexy flat crown fork! The more chrome the better.

Not in a rush to buy and hoping to keep to under $1000 (Richard Sachs unfortunately not an option!).

What do you have? Also open to any new production frames if anyone knows of something that fits the bill. Thx

I just saw a Bertoni listed by pgrizzwald here on the forum - looks like the original build has a flat crown fork ....and it's a 55..

I have a freshly refinished Marinoni Special in 55cm. Bright red paint and refinished shiny chrome on the drive side chainstay. It has a sloping crown, but it is engraved. Pics in the thread below :)

I would look for the flat crown 1st
Than look for a frame 2nd and you can get a fork chromed

I may be selling my vintage, late 80s Bruce Gordon, repainted recently with a flat crown fork and the fancy asymmetrical-holed lugs. But no chrome. The only thing is, it has a 126mm rear. You could respace it or use a 7-spd.
