Alessio -- riding Ti Bianchis, probably for the only time this season...seems a crazy expense for one race, but it looks like Tafi and Big Magnus want a little more give than the AL frames they ride in every other race....
CSC -- steel is no longer real. Looks like they ditched the SuperProdigy (a bike the Doc likes, and a steel steal) for R 2.5s -- if the C40 and OCLV can take it....
QuickStep -- longer chainstays...but are they riding something less rigid and more cobble-freindly than a standard Time frameset (which is like riding concrete)? Fill us in, jerkmeister...the doc suspects that after last year's difficulties on the cobbles, Johan is riding something rebadged....
Saeco -- Pieri is going headshock again...but how is his form????
T-Mobile -- who has the dirt on the Giants? Those do not look like the same rigs that Vino and Jan have been buzzing around on...looks like longer wheelbases...is it in the rear-center???
Rabo -- a froggybud sent an email to the effect that at least one Colnago will have cantis if its wet...the doc thinks his ol pal from Iowa City and Rennes is full of it....
Douglass, if that Atlanta has a 74STA, you might have a taker in few months (I and he are not in a hurry)...but right now, we're developing a perverse fascination with a nice 5-pound 531C Jackson...for 800 beans, who's fretting about weight?
