Anyone subscribe? For North Americans it's $120/year for 6 issues. That's hefty even for bike porn. I've been through Bicycliing, Winning, Velonews etc. and currently a Peloton subscriber and feel like Peloton has "jumped the shark;" same stuff every month ctaterimg to the Rapha crownd. No offense. I do like Bicycle Quarterly, but I can read that at my local library.
Is Rouleur my next stop?

Best magazine out there by a wide margin.

Subscribed for about 5 years now.

Worth it.

Peloton feels like a very cheap imitation of Rouleur. It tries to promise the same approach and then you start reading an article and it's over almost before it started. Or there's two pictures where there should be ten.

So if you like what Peloton tries to pass itself off as being you'll love Rouleur, it's the real thing.

Also if you love diving into the history of the sport there's loads of that, all excellently written.

Excellent mag! Been getting it as a yearly Xmas gift from a wonderful relative for the past 4 years.

I only get this and Peloton which I may let expire at the end of this year.

There is another digital mag that I belive is called Conquista. I downloaded a few of their early free issues. It looks nice but I really prefer the look and feel of a real, big, cycling mag on excellent paper. That is Rouleur!!

The website has copies of stories from old issues a couple years back, and web-only features so you can get a sense of what kind of stuff is in every issue.

Last issue had an interview with the Belgian family of doctors who fix every pro racer's busted collarbones. Just great stuff you won't find anywhere else.

Yeah rouleur.cc is pretty great.

Interesting. I found some old issues of Peloton and really enjoyed them. Great articles, in depth, well researched, and a depth of cycling history. So I finally ordered a subscription and received my first copy and it is filled with a bunch of one page articles, what? So maybe I should search out Rouler magazine as well.
I really like Peloton I hope it doesn't go the way of Bicycling or whatever and panders to people of short attention spans and no cycling panache.
Anyway have a great day.

Been a Rouleur subscriber since issue 20 something. As a photography fan, there is always very high-quality work. Writing is consistently high quality, and I never get the sense that they rely on advertorial as Peloton seems to with their reviews. That soured me on Peloton fairly quickly, the breathless "best bike ever" in each issue... I do usually pick up the Peloton photo annual though.

I agree - I had high hopes for Peleton and have been a subscriber since the beginning, but I'm weighing letting my subscription lapse. Rouleur, on the other hand, is very much worth it!

I have always loved Peloton, but just as the previous comments, it's not the same amymore. I have subscribed to Roulier before, and I think I might go back.

Does the US subscriber get online access when they subscribe through IMS?

Is it just me or does their design layout make it look like Chris Froome is somehow associated with the US subscription?

I'm in Seattle and it is not on the stockists list.

My Peloton subscription will end this fall and I will let it go. The early Peloton issues were great, but as others have observed, it's not a good as it was in the beginning.

Does Rouleur ever offer promo codes?

If they do, then I have not been able to find one. Gonna bite the bullet and place my order.

For those of you with NA subscriptions, is there some sort of online access/archive that you can get through subscription?

Not really. Your online perk is a discount in their online store, and their articles online are about 4-6 months behind the magazine. So if you want a jump-start on the internet zeitgeist, read the printed one.

Only discount I've seen is promo items for subscribing, and a discounted rate for renewals.

Rouleur has a competitor - Conquista.cc - that does offer subscription based online access to their back issues. It's high quality, but it's not quite to the level of Rouleur.
