I will be traveling frequently to the area for the next few months (and maybe longer)

Wondering on riding options, both road and mtb. Have seen fatties and mtb's on cars but not a roadie to be seen, riding or on rack

Thanks!

Our club has an annual outing to Bedford PA, we stay at a "agri-tourist" type sheep farm (a bunch of houses to rent cheep) about 50 miles away, I know, but the roads are spectacular, not much traffic and plenty of challenging hills of all sorts. There's also an MTB park about an hour away (I don't know where) which has groomed trails and is supposed to be great as well. I'm guessing Johnstown will be similarly good!

Mountain biking: https://sites.google.com/site/allegrippistrailsv2/ and at Blue Knob ski resort: https://www.mtbproject.com/directory/8009981/blue-knob-state-park. Also, tons of great mountain biking in Rothrock SF up near State College.

Road riding is pretty good in Centre, Blair, and Bedford counties. I have relatively little experience in Cambria or Somerset counties. Seems less good in Cambria but there are pockets.

You might want to anticipate driving to good nearby riding areas instead of trying to do rides from Johnstown itself.
