A co worker said that there was a rider recently that died of an "exploded heart" due to some type of amphetamines?
I am only aware of Tommy Simpson in the 1967 Tour dr France died of heat exhaustion as he was climbing the beast Mount Ventoux, tour officials later found amphetamines in his body. The other is 1995 Fabio Casartelli who died from massive head trauma from a downhill crash... team Mottoralla with Lance Armstrong...
