I bought this from a fellow Paceliner in November 2015. Flash forward nearly a year and a half and I've not even taken it out of the box.

That reinforces to me that, being a middle-aged guy with two boys under 10 years old, my dream of traveling with a Ritchey Breakaway and cycling in locales throughout the world is nothing more than a fantasy. :crap:

Anyone interested in the bike? They don't make the titanium version anymore. $1700 with free shipping in the CONUS.

eTT - 57.5cm
ST - 54cm
HT - 157mm
STa - 73.5
HTa - 73.5

If only this was a 54. I have an old beat up steel Break Away that I've traveled with and love. The frame rides beautifully, as nice as a far more expensive custom steel frame. I can only imagine how nice the Ti rides. I'd jump at the chance to replace it with a Ti version. If anyone out there has a smaller one they want to sell....

Meanwhile, good luck with the sale.

I have this same frame and it is fantastic. I ride it even when I'm not traveling. Unfortunately, Ritchey is no longer producing Ti break-aways so they may become more rare. Great price on this one.

The OP's post pulled at my heartstrings: my two cents is to keep that frame, boxed or not (or up on the wall somewhere where it can remind you of itself), and wait for the day when you'll build it up.

I had so little time to ride when my teenager was smaller, and just made it work (late nights, early mornings), and eventually we got to a place where he had less needs (e.g. he can get to school, etc), and I began to build bikes again. Thankfully had never sold the steel Pinarello and Ciocc frames that were "worth" more to me than the money I'd have gotten for them.

Now, we have a teeny baby, but my wife and I have great respect for each other's needs: hers, to write and make art, mine, to tinker and ride. (and each other's demanding jobs, too). We are committed to creating the space in our lives so the other person can do those things that are important to him/her.

I finally built a travel bike, too: I rode it in Barcelona and the surrounding hills over Christmas break, while the teenager snored away and my wife wrangled the baby. Then I took the baby for awhile while she did her things.

Everyone's circumstances are different, but from one bike-obsessed nut to (maybe) another, "Don't sell it!!!!"

Yeah, I know - but I can't have that much money tied up in a frame just sitting there.

I really don't want to go the eBay route with this. No interest from the Paceliners?

Make me an offer!

If this was a 54cm I'd be all over it. My steel Breakaway is a rusty mess...
