I'm not sure anyone will be able to answer this but here it goes.

I bought an Edelux II upside down from Peter White (through my LBS) a few months ago.

Finally getting around to putting it on today and something doesnt add up.

Per Peter Whites instructions:

Problem is--my upside down edelux ii doesnt have a threaded screw post to screw the rubber grommet in to make it waterproof.

To me it looks like the standard edelux ii (which I have on my Eisentraut).

Am I dense and missing something? Did I accidentally get shipped an Edelux II standard in a bag marked "Edelux II upside down"?

Am I supposed to remove the taillight connector to get to the threaded post?

Just double checking...

Now that I look more closely it looks like the wire is coming from the bottom leading me to believe I was shipped the normal upright version

that looks like the normal edelux. The tailight connector gives it away. See if it has 3 settings for the switch since the upside down one only has 2 (on and off and no auto)

looks like its a normal one then.

Kind of annoying because the reason I went with the Upside Down was so I can use a rack without the light getting in the way but whats a guy to do?

I am sure they would be ok with a return, considering they messed up the order

Sh1t happens. At least your mixed-up is legit, and you took the time to verify with others before throwing around false accusations...

Been thinking about building a built-in generator hubbed wheel for the last couple of months, will check back with you later to see how your experience goes...

My own little mixed up:

just call them. Hopefully one of his lovely assistants will answer. He's usually pretty helpful, but the filter works better for me.

I actually just put in a Peter white order yesterday before discovering the problem. Haven't paid or heard back yet but could possibly add it on.

Also email works for with them! I've ordered through email no problem
