Hope this hasn't been overdone, or perhaps its time for an update with Spring just ahead.

After seven years off the boat, I purchased a surfski in late Nov 2016. An Epic, of course. With about 34 hr in the saddle as of yesterday, I'm more or less happy with my steady (although extremely slow) progress.

This latest boat is more stable (fat) than the one before, and the one before that (and the one before that). One foot shorter, one inch wider. So that's the direction I've been moving, as I begin to engage my sixties.

The last paddle is downloaded to garmin.connect, but not sure how to post a readable link.

It looks like my scull. How the heck do you keep that thing stable in surf? I can flip my scull in a heartbeat :p

I bet it flies though.

Very cool. Always wanted a surf ski. Can't wait for spring so I can get back on my SUP. A Blue Planet Dark Horse 14', made very close to where you live, and feeling rather out of place on the prairies.

I wonder if you could make a paddle ergometer from an old trainer?

Having grown up on small off-shore fishing boats, surfboards, and racing yachts, I have a strong predilection for boat design. Have never seen a Scull I haven't admired, but even Graeme King is building in composites, right? :D

Surfski's develop a steady dynamic stability through the paddle stroke.

I've been to the Blue Planet shop a number of times, but always balked over the sheer weight of a new discipline.

Like this?--which is actually a dedicated train tool. I'm sure there will be a Sup version before too long.

Yeah that sort of thing. This one is SUP specific: https://youtu.be/AtlyaibAUNE

Have to think a bit of jury-rigging with a fluid trainer, a wheel, paddle shaft and cable, and ... something? should be able to make one

Beautiful design... Your pictures bring back great memories.
I lived in Hawaii for eight years and had a Twogood Kevlar surfski. I lived Kahlúa State Beach and almost every morning was out in the water at sunrise to do a circuit around the Mokes and Bird**** island. I loved being able to glide in on a six-inch swell. What a way to start the day.
