This combination has been highly recommended to me by several people in-the-know (plus what I've read), claiming less rolling resistance. Anyone else running this combination? What's the verdict?

I'm running this combination on one bike. It works well, but if you are looking for some kind of magic, you'll be disappointed. 23c conti GP 4000s measure ~25 mm on these rims and you can drop the pressure quite a bit.

I prefer 25mm tires on these rims, if your frame has the clearance.

I ride 25mm wide Boyds, which are very similar to the Belgium+.

I started with 23mm Conti GP4000's at normal pressures (~100psi). They had a great race feel and tracked brilliantly in the corners. But, they rode like crap, and ride quality was no better (if not worse) than the Mavic wheels I replaced.

I brought the pressure down to 85-90psi, and the ride quality improved. But, I flatted 3 rides in a row, "Snake bites" from pot holes or what-not. So, while the ride improved a bit, it wasn't worth the flat hassle.

I've since changed to 25mm Conti GP4000's at lower pressure, 85-90psi. Ride is much improved, no more snake bites, and they still fit within my frame (barely...) I'm around 165-170lbs, and this combo has worked great for me over the past 2 years.
