Yeah... don't know what I was thinking, but I pulled the cables all the way out when replacing.

I found a strong magnet to be a lifesaver getting the cables through the internal routing areas. Electrical tape on the magnet head to avoid scratches on your paint/carbon. Also, for the RD cable over the bottom bracket area, just remove the seat post and use a flashlight to see the cable. With some finagling, you can get it to go down the DS seat stay and then back to the magnet. You can remove the derailleur hanger if it won't go through.

Probably nothing new, but I was thrilled that it actually worked! :hello:

My CAAD ten has internally routed brake cable only. I replaced that by sacrificing a brake cable cutting off end....then taping that that to new end and pulling thru when I replaced.

If I had a frame with internally routed shift and brake cables....would just go ahead an get the Park tool. it's a long wand with a stiff cable and magnet on end.
