Yeah, it looks like it's going to be wild tomorrow. At least today was nice and warm, though.

You get my honorable mention for POTD, although coming from me it may mean little. LOL...I say this because I think that sculpture on the window sill is some good modern funk.

Just to admit how weak-minded I am compared to my tough pals up north...tomorrow the forecast is high 70s, possibly even approaching 80. Nice riding weather, right? ...well, maybe. If the wind is anything like today, which I think it will, it's going to be somewhere between 12-15 mph. With that in mind, I texted back my regular cycling buddy that I might opt out of road riding tomorrow and hit the trails on my gravel bike...going at 12-15 mph average, but at least I am shielded from the wind in the woods.

What do y'all think?

I've been on the trainer for the past two days, but have been regularly riding the past few weeks in the 20° weather with 10-15 mph winds. I am built like a bear though and with the proper layers I've been fine for the couple of hours I spend on the bike. Winter riding has its perks and some beautiful scenery. If I had some rideable trails to avoid the wind I'd take that route:beer:

Thanks for chiming in hill pal.

The latest forecast: still a bit too windy for my taste. Just chatted with my riding buddy, decided to give it a go, mainly because I know for sure I want to hit the trails tomorrow, just not sure if I want to do it two days in a row.

Ha,ha. You got it made in the shade. I worked outside yesterday in fierce winds and so many more unfavorable conditions. One of those conditions is the lousy price for softshell clams. There's so many around and this is a terrible time of the year to be digging for them. I went out again this morning before light just to catch a bit of the tide approximately a half hour behind sunrise. Trying to make a decent days pay. Digging clams is an athletic event that happens to be lucrative at least to me and exclusive to where I live. I dig them year round and honestly I dig along side guys that are as good at what we do as the likes of pick your favorite all time greatest pro cyclist....NO BULL SHEET....think beast mode! All for a few dollar more, no fame, no future just the love of clamming. I think it's awesome to think about as I am only mid grade and may never get to be that kind of caliber. Excaliber:p

I hate to say it but if it makes you feel better, your in good company. from where I stand this forum is filled with candy arse and I earned$$ the privilage to say that day in and day out$. At least you sir live in the right place to enjoy cycling properly.

Well????

Did ya live???

Rode today, 40 deg and holding 230-250 w on flat ground just to maintain 10mph. Bit of a headwind ya know... Got blown sideways across an entire lane while going downhill on fresh loose gravel, good thing I started out in the opposite lane

tandem pal, thanks for your concern, I survived.
Rode 42 miles Sat. and 45 today Sunday. The wind started to pick up towards the end. It's great to ride with people who have local area knowledge and understand how the wind changes direction and adjust the route accordingly. Glad we got the saddle time in because it's going to rain non-stop for the next 2-3 days.

25cm (10 inches) of snow here today. Got a great work out pulling my son through the trails on a sled. One of those winter days that is the equal to the best of what summer can produce.
