I've had a beloved thermal vest (Tracko Camo made by Endo Customs) for a few years, and it's time to add/change it up.'

I'm looking for something with thermal, super stretch (I carry a crap-ton in my pockets... rarely ever a saddle bag), and just the right amount of fun/bold patterns/colors/hipster/whatever.

Help me internet. What's a cool new vest out there?

Assos Falkenzahn in black is pretty much the standard. Looks great on any kit, stretchy, warm, and water resistant. It's definitely one of my favorite pieces. I've worn it a ton over the last 2 years and it looks brand new.

What size are you? I have a great never worn basically new med. thermal Voler in bold colors with great large rear pockets.

Q36.5 vest.

Sadly the snow camo pattern was discontinued, but plenty of ludicrous colors still available.

I have that Cadence vest. It's a great piece but notably it doesn't have pockets and is more of a packable wind blocking layer than full-blown thermal.

So, I propose http://store.tenspeedhero.com/collections/vests-gilets/products/mens-green-saint-trophime-vest

Q36.5 vest is the best one out there but it is not thermal. You can get one with a camoflage back. That what I have.

The Rapha Insulated Gilet ticks a lot of your boxes. The bottom part is thin and stretchy so it can be easily positioned over full jersey pockets. The gilet itself does not have rear pockets however. It appears they will drop a hi viz yellow soon as well. Sorry ... chartreuse ...

I never heard of using vests to stand out, but it's a cool idea. That Tracko looks amazing! I wish they had something in stock. Is their deal limited releases?

After some eBay searching, it looks like there are some cool Rapha ones out there.

Thanks to this thread I searched ebay, I found this one and purchased it. It goes with some of my solid color jerseys .
Not for everyone's taste but I like it.

My pleasure. I have one in black. I also found them on eBay for around $60.

I am wearing their real fleece hoodie right now. Love their stuff

Plus one for rapha insulated brevet vest. It's pretty staid but the perfect best for colder days and packs down super small. I find it is still easy to access jersey pockets as it stretchy in back :)

My vest came just came in. Not exactly stretchy, but noticeably warmer than the vest I already had which is only real fleece. I can wear that vest around the house. This new one is wind proof and it is too warm to wear inside. Still about the same weight...

What's sizing like on these? Should I go my Assos/Castelli size (Med) or American size (Small)?

their measurements aren't too helpful as I'm right in between the small and medium.

This isn't exactly what you are looking for, but I like the idea of the Louis Garneau Speedzone vest. It is open in the back giving you access to your jersey pockets.

Hard to say, the ika runs smaller than the real fleece vest. I find icebreaker runs small as opposed to ibex.
