Anyone know the proper front clamp size for a Spectrum Super Ti? I've combed the Spectrum site to no avail.

TIA.

Is this a bike you currently own? If so it is easy enough to measure. Spectrum Supers were/are custom and have changed over the years so hard to speculate without more details. You can always send Tom K an email or give a phone call too.
If I had to guess I would say if it has a 27.2 seat post, it is likely a 31.8mm clamp. If the seat post is larger and/or it has a shim in the frame for the seatpost as Merlin used then possibly a 34.9 FD clamp.

Thanks.

Use the calipers/micrometer to get the diameter and check the tips against a ruler. 1 1/4 is 31.8 and 1 3/8 is 34.9

If you have a spare 31.8 stem around you can see if the profile of the stem faceplate matches the seat tube diameter. If it does you have a 31.8, if not you have 34.9

Circumference =pi × diameter

so diameter=circumference/pi

Got a metric tape measure?

About 11cm around? 34.9
About 10 cm? 31.8

if my 5th grade math is correct. :eek:
