Anybody use these as climb shifters instead of the other 2 button satellite shifter shimano makes?

How does it work? 1 button on each side or splice the two buttons and plug on 1 side?

Thanks for the info

There is a special port on each shifter that each spinter shifter plugs into.

According to my mech, Shimano is releasing new climbing shifters that are small buttons that'll mount under the bartape. I was going to do the sprint shift hack to climbers but I'm waiting for these now.

If he is talking about the new SW-R9150, it will not be under the tape. It's a smaller single button switch that will still be in the same location as the old climbing switch. See attached.

Where did you guys end up locating the buttons, and would you change anything?

The older 2 button one works great. I have it on all my bikes.
