I just found out about this guy (he emailed me about a saddle). He's in New Hampshire. His bikes look really nice, esp the Huntsman. Pics are great. Nice clean aesthetics.

Anyone have any experience with his bikes? He is a really nice guy via email.

There's at least one of Kris's creations posted in the galleries here on the forum and he gets consistent rave reviews.

I get the feeling of high quality from his website and just the tone of how he presents himself. His bikes look great in the pics. I'm pretty much cured of road bike lust, but it's got me interested in a dang Huntsman that will take 40's.

yes, I don't think you will hear anything but good about his bikes - theyre very well thought out and nicely finished. He is a rising star (well, a current star) of the framebuilding industry in the US and beyond.

I inquired about a hardtail from him, but alas, too rich for my blood. Dreamy though.

The Huntsman is a droolworthy bike, for sure.

Only hear great things about him....

Todd H here and across the hall has an awesome plus bike I've seen in person...well, really the back because I'm chasing him mostly but really really nice anyway.

He and his wife were wonderful to chat with at Charlotte NAHBS about his bikes, build philosophy, etc.

I have a Huntsman from Kris. Pics here. (https://www.flickr.com/photos/44bikes/albums/72157658158335155)

It's a great bike. Kris was great to work with. It ended up being delivered a little later than initially quoted, but it was worth the wait.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Richard Sachs had Kris build a bike for his wife.
That's a decent endorsement.

This is still one of my favorite bikes here (I first saw pics of it in the "Show me your gravelbikes" thread).

Kris/44 has some interesting info on how he's tooled up to start building Ti bikes--from his blog:

Anyway, to add to the chorus, 44 bikes is the real deal!

No personal experience with him, but reading some of his posts, seems like a competent builder and very knowledgeable.

Plus, builds some pretty nice bikes:

Are they twice as good as No. 22 Bikes?
