Hello All:
1999 Match built Paramount with 1984 Waterford Paramount fork. Frame is fresh from the Powder Keg (http://www.powderkegcoating.com/) in Salt Lake City. They did a great job with all threads and other surfaces nicely masked. Fork was chromed by a local Harley customizing shop. It will soon have Velocals 1972 Paramount decals. About as anachronistic as I could make it. Color is called Illusion Wild Copper (https://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/PMB-5364/Illusion-Wild-Copper/). I wish I could offer a dazzling pic in the sunshine but its dumping snow here.
Cheers,
Jim

That's powder?! Very nice. Plus a clear-coat?

Challenge for powder is to be thin, even coverage, smooth surface.

Yep its powder with clear coat. Powder Keg came highly recommended by Walt Wehner aka Waltworks in Park City. They didn't disappoint.

Holy crap! How much do they charge for a frame?

$105 per frame. I paid a total of $220 with tax for two frames, one fork, and one stem extender. That was when I supplied the powder which cost me about $75 for both bikes. I think they still just charge $105 when they supply the powder as well. They also do a chemical strip followed by media blast prior to coating all for that price.

Can you get two colors with powdercoat - say, head tube and seat tube panels a second color? My Bob Jackson was repainted a few years ago - I sent it back to Jackson in UK, but I doubt they did a good job stripping it to bare metal and rust is showing through in the spots I sent it back to fix. It has a white seat tube panel and white section in the head tube between the lugs.

I didn't ask but they were recommended by Waltworks and I imagine his customers probably ask for two or more colors. Call em and ask.
Cheers,
Jim

Glad to see you got yourself a match built paramount. Great looking powder, haven't seen one executed so well in a while.

That is a fine, fine, fine, powdercoat job!

Would love to see a pic in natural day light when built up.

I was told there would be Norsemen in drag, what gives? :)

OK it looks really good! Just one niggle… there appears to be a paint run on the head tube, or is that just the pic? Can powder coat run?

Thanks. No runs that I can see. Could be a reflection or my cheap camera.

So,
How does one identify the Match built Paramounts?
That is going to be a super sweet bike.

I've seen some very detailed multi color powder jobs. Spectrum was one that did that before they shut down.

Ha, easy to identify them by combination of beautiful workmanship (by Match Cycles) and crappy paint jobs (by Schwinn)! They were only made in 98 and 99 (I believe) and look like this. There was also a Ti model made by Serotta.
