Viewed these wheels https://customlux.com/ at a trade show by a company out of Quebec, Canada, Apogee and not being very knowledgeable on carbon wheel construction was wondering if this was a common construction method. I was under the assumption most wheels currently are built up from multiple pieces of laid up carbon fiber sheet.

I wonder if this is the same as the single filament rims from Velocite (https://www.bikerumor.com/2015/03/04/velocites-new-venn-composite-rims-break-the-mold-w-filament-wound-single-strand-carbon-construction/).

Velicite sells bare rims, and also sells complete wheels under the Venn Cycles (http://www.venn-cycling.com/index.php)brand name.

There is a thread about Velocite rims (http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=113&t=131368)over at the Weight Weenies forum.

Thanks Mark, look to be very similar if not the same, will read up the Weight Weenies discussion. Certainly appears to be a more cost effective method of building these plastic wheels, need to research weight, strength and precision claims.
