I realize mentioning anything WD-40 related on this forum might be considered heresy, but....

WD-40 makes a bike polishing product that I've used for awhile and really like. Its similar to a liquid paste wax. Requires a little bit of effort to apply than buff off. Leaves a very nice sheen that really makes a frame look fantastic. But what I like the most about it is the finish makes it much easier to keep the frame clean - dirt does not stick to the frame as readily.

Recommended.

I've heard of some folks here who use that. Others use Pledge furniture polish.

I don't bother with any of that - just wipe off the grime and ride.

There is or was a lube called Kroon oil that is red and has the consistency of transmission oil that is or was sold exclusively as bike polish.

I have a bottle and used it in a steel bike and kind'a help to the color, im talking a bike that was like 30 years old, maybe more. I have not tested it yet over a carbon painted bike yet.

If you want something that will work just get some maguiars diamond polish heavy... and then their wax.

WD-40 is revamping/streamlining their product line.

Several really nice products are disappearing.

Too bad.
