Anyone have any info on how to adjust the damn seat tilt on the Sugino SP-0 seatpost with the hinged upper carrier?

It appears that you simply slide the lower cradle in the serrated valley of the post to get the desired saddle angle, and then make it tight with the bolt in back. The upper clamp is fixed, so there's not much adjustment, nor contact between the upper clamp and the saddle rails at either end of the range.

I guess I'll have to fiddle with it more. I may have to really loosen the cradle to get it to move. Now I know why this design died.
