More $ for you if parting out. Also a lot more work..

If a low end bike there is little to be gained by trying to sell it in parts but the work involved is still the same so perhaps not worth it on cheaper bikes depending on how one values time.

Personally i kinda like taking things apart or putting them together in general but the fun is kinda lost with old beat up bike parts imo.

Depends on the group. Some, like Second Gen Campagnolo C-Record..a rear der can go for $300+ or more.

If it's all "sellable" stuff, then parting it out will gain you more money, with a bit more effort.

If it's a fairly bog standard spec, then you can often be left with bars/stems/seatposts/saddles because no one wants manufacturer branded finishing kit.

It depends a lot of the bicycle or the item/group.

Some bikes worth more as whole than in parts, some worth more in parts, alll depends of the brand and components, some people dont like to sell in parts because is more work.

With groups is the same thing, if the group is not tic-tac then maybe selling in parts is better, condition is the key word here aswell.
