Considering a Stelbel SB/03 (based on a recent post here (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=198593))
Any owners of one here, or any comments on the brand/builder?

Actually not too expensive (compared to other custom). I want one too.

Actually, not super expensive, and the weakness of the Euro helps US.
SB/03 frame is $2,065 + $165 shipping + ~$300 US Custom fees, so price to deliver is ~$2,500 — not bad for a custom steel frame.

I actually emailed them yesterday for pricing as one of their frames popped up on my instagram feed. Heavily considering a rodano.

These are unbelievably sweet looking bikes with really nice custom touches. The stats are unreal. I want one really bad but can't justify the coin, even if the prices aren't all that bad.

This Rodano build is fantastic: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=143396
I don't know what it is about these Stelbels that I find so appealing, but I really really dig them.

Tony T,
you might check in over at WW. Euro site = more Stelbel. A few members have them, and the reviews all seem very positive. Stelbel on Weight Weenies (http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/search.php?keywords=stelbel=all&author=&sc=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=topics&st=300&t=0&submit=Search)
And, just as a tease...

Yeah that rodano does it.

I like the Rodano, but I really like the internal cable routing of the SB/03
Not a fan of the oversized headtubes, but the taper on the SB/03 looks better.
Nice that the BB are threaded (T47 on the SB/03)
They'll also paint to any scheme you want.
I'm liking the Racing Green two-tone (this is on the SS model):

I'm liking the strada super.
Silver CK headset
Nitto bar/stem
Nitto jaguar post
C13 saddle
Cambium tape
Silver Royce hubs
Silver spokes
35mm carbon rims
Chorus (2015+)
ee brakes
King iris cages

Spend some time on Blacksmith's IG feed. Those bikes are nice.

I'd be curious to hear real-world feedback on customer experiences... They've got the look TOTALLY dialed for Instagram, but I've never heard of anybody in the States owning one or having any dealings w the company.

Not directly responding to what you're asking, but Blacksmith is a 12-minute bike ride from my couch, and they're straight up. They don't only exist on IG.
They also have plenty of other steel builders to sell if one isn't making the grade.

Wow, that Blacksmith Nina looks completely out of character to me.
Not a Pegoretti, not a Zullo, not a Casati, and not a Stelbel.
To each their own, though.

Yep, that was the purpose of my post. I was hoping that some paceliners had one.
With googling, I've only found one owner.
It was a positive review: http://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/1020678-stelbel-new-models-sb-03-rodano.html

Hi Tony,
I may be super late to the party but are you still looking for a StelBel?
Let me know!

This is my first post here but I'm not in any way connected with Stelbel. I ordered and received my SB/03 last year and I'm absolutely delighted with it. It is racy and agile yet smooth (helped by 28c Vittorias). I think it looks gorgeous. The ordering process (I'm based in Asia) directly from Stelbel was very smooth, they respond very promptly and are really delightful to deal with. I'm now considering buying a second bike from them.

Go on Weight Weenies.. Few guys over there have them and actualle left in-depth reviews. I know someone local in LA that has one. Some miscommunication with Bottom Bracket choices and some other things regarding paint, but I didn't hear much about the ride. I was told they're heavy bikes though..

I recall a grey one in the classifieds section not so long ago. Maybe check in with the owner for input?

Stelbel frame from Blacksmith that was originally posted about is now for sale on their website (https://blacksmithcycle.com/collections/sale-bikes/products/festka-one-2).

Also, I know Maglia Rosa NYC (http://www.magliarosanyc.com/stiebel) also sells Stelbel.
