My buddy is very interested in this Poprad as a commuter and weekend riding on dirt roads. I told him the frame has a good reputation but the price seem high considering shipping, $525?

It's been on EBay for awhile ... what seems like a fair price?

If your buddy really wants it I'd offer $400 and have him buy a bikeflights shipping label and send it to the seller. So $400 I cover shipping. That would be my offer but I love those bikes.
In actuality probably worth $400ish shipped. Admittedly I don't know much about those forks though

Agree with the above post, both on the awesomeness that is the Poprad (an all time underrated bike in my mind) and the price.

It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.
Seems a little optimistic/high for a frameset. I sold a complete Poprad a couple years back nicely kitted for ~$650. (I regret that today...)

400$ is very close to what I paid for mine- it is fantastic

A used Poprad frameset in very good condition is worth $400-450 IMO. I paid $330 for mine a few years back. I concur with the assessment that these are very underrated frames. My Poprad is the last bike I would hold on to if I had to sell off all my bikes. One caveat: these frames were not very well prepped by the factory. I had to ream/face the headtube on mine to ensure the headset fit well. Pretty disappointing since these were only sold as complete bikes by Trek/LeMond dealers...

The canti versions are harder to sell than the disc now. I sold a canti frameset for $385 last year.
Note that the fork on these may not be a standard height. Mine had a 414 mm axle-crown fork. A 395 would steepen things up too much on the one I had.
