Ive seen a bunch of hype on the h plus son archetype around here and I had previously picked up a custom built set laced to 105 hubs as a beater/gravel wheelset. very happy with the wheelset but have liked my a23 and belgium+ builds I wanted to try and set the h plus's up tubeless.

since this is a "non tubeless ready" rim i went with the somewhat "ghetto" fashion

two spins of Gorilla tape, stans tubeless valves, 2 oz orange seal, panaracer gravel king 32 slicks (tubeless ready).

the gravel kings are a tight fit, i almost got it seated without the aid of a compressor. in the end i seated the tires with 80psi using the compressor and the cores removed from the stems.

my opinion is this.. since there is no industry standard on tubeless rims, ill take my chances on the rim but will use a tubeless specific tire to lessen the chances of weeping sealant, etc.

I lost some air the first night but aired them up spun them vertically tapped them around horizontally day two and they held air magnificently after that.

for those that are willing to take the chance.. its an option.. i havent ridden them yet as the 2" of ice on everything is still lingering but will update as this progresses.

these wheels will be affixed to a mr pink for mostly road riding with the option of some gravel miles to connect the dots.

For new builds, H Plus Son make a tubeless compatible 25mm rim called The Hydra (http://hplusson.com/node/44)

IME 1 wrap of GT is enough & might let the tire slip on easier.
