I really like the Fizik Performance classic bar tape, but it doesn't come in gray or silver. So I wanted to see if you guys had any recommendations for a nice bar tape in this color...hopefully something similar to the Fizik Performance tape.

TIA.

Fizik microtex?I've used this before, and it's just a little on the thin side. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have their classic tape in dark gray and I really like it.

Looks like Specialized used to make something similar in their S-Wrap Classic version, but it doesn't look like it is available in this color any more :(

Another possibility that looks like it might not be available anymore...Cinelli Treasure Bar Tape...

From another website..."This product is no longer available for sale. The last date it was available was 11/7/2014. "

Does it need to be perforated? I avoid perforated tape myself as I think it allows salt to more easily get to the bar.

I like fizik microtex as a second layer over cheap cork stretched thin and tight. It's a nice combination, durable looks nice and not too thin or too thick. I hate gloves in warm weather.

The Rapha/Cinelli tape is awesome. I have it in black, and the pink underside highlights are just enough to pop a bit. I came from Fizik Performance and really like the feel of the Cinelli, so you would probably love it.

My friend has the Arundel on his bike. It looks pretty thick and has held up really well for the whole season.

And so what happens if salt gets to the handlebar?

It exacerbates corrosion over time, whether the bar is alloy or carbon.

Yuck. Since I am doing rides inside this time of year I wear full finger gloves to catch any sweat. Regardless, I will be switching out my tape that looks basically new after 6 months of riding. No reason to risk it. Lucky tape is cheap.

Notice no perforations in that tape. Maybe having holes to let air get in is actually better.

I like the Deda tape. Its cheap, easy to clean and just the right level of flashiness you want your silver tape to have.
