shimano shifter Q

Can 7900 DT shifters be converted to 11V using parts from 9000 barcons? I assume that they each have shifter discs, but are they cross compatible with the respective levers? I've retrofitted Campag. levers many times, but don't have the Shimano bits in hand to check them out.
