Honestly, after reading I had to make sure this wasent put out on April 1st. Not falling for that one. Is there an April fools in December?

Anyway, I give you this. http://www.bikeradar.com/road/news/article/pinarello-blubrake-abs-system-launch-48819/

I am getting tired of going over the bars. It happens three or four times a ride. Thankfully there are elves that run out of the bushes and get me going again.

Is electronic and Italy like Price of Darkness electrical systems from the UK?

EPS stuff made in Switzerland, Ergo Brain made by Cateye.

BUT another gizmo for a bicycle? Along with the HUD, getting really dumm..IMHO.

I can't imagine regularly going over the bars on any of my bikes, let alone an $8500 carbon pinarello. This seems like a ridiculous idea and if you don't know how to properly modulate your brakes then you probably don't belong on a bicycle!

Ugh, I read the "article" and it's even dumber than it sounded at first. It's a pretty complicated system- magnets, gyroscopes, adjustments for weather conditions and style of riding, etc.

Plus, it's not even an ABS, all it does is cause your shifter to vibrate if the brakes are about to lock up. So, if you were to grab your brake in a panic it wouldn't modulate the brakes, you would just get a little buzz as you endo.

Lastly, your riding data is automatically uploaded to the cloud so the manufacturer can perform “advanced analytical studies." Nothing intrusive about that.

Criminy, what a ridiculous, worthless, over-engineered jumble of e-waste.
