New CO2 inflator/tire lever combo from BarFly on kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/392355882/air-lever-tire-lever-and-co2-inflator-in-one-by-ba?ref=nav_search).

Looks interesting. I'm always in the market for a product that combines two useful items into one, and maintains functionality. This looks like it might do that. Plus my quest for an inflator that I actually like is still ongoing.

Thanks for the link. I don't think it takes up any less space than my current inflator and the midget tire levers on my multi tool. It actually looked like it was more intrusive to my saddle bag and less useful than my compact tool and valve.

The price did not help the situation. $10-$15 bikes I will give almost any bike novelty a go. Above that and I see a 20 dollar bill burning.

you like 2 in 1 stuff? i like my second wind inflators/pumps. they let me slightly inflate to round out the tube before inserting and the co2 does the heavy lifting. not great as a primary pump but perfectly fine for topping off or if you run out of cartridges. super tiny too. if you use the cage mount, you won't even notice it under your bottle.

I like two-in-one things that don't sacrifice functionality. Important distinction.

Eh, not really impressed. I love the Hexus II tool (https://www.topeak.com/global/en/products/mini-tools/350-hexus--ii). Chain breaker and tire levers in a multitool is hard to beat imho.

Re co2, I don't really care for em, but if I did, I'd go pump+co2 inflator like the PDW Magic Flute (https://ridepdw.com/products/magic-flute-pump?variant=24675459905)

Interesting. I do need to get a new inflator for next year. I'm committed to lightening my seatbag for next season.

It is the main thing holding me back on the hills.

If I'm reading their kickstarter site correctly, they expect to retail this thing for $30.

Assuming a 50% combined distributor/retail markup, the kickstarter "discount" price is actually higher than the normal price Barfly would charge, even accounting for shipping. I guess I wouldn't care about that but the "discount" price of $24 is a little more than I would pay if I bought an inflator and levers from REI (the dividend approximately offsets the tax.) Any utility from combining the two is extremely marginal at best.

Pass.

Got mine in today. Will report once I have a flat and get to use it...

Initial impressions: It's a tad bigger than I'd imagined, but still a totally reasonable size. the tire levers are broader than some other levers. They're closer to the Pedros levers than the Park TL 1.2. They don't seem to have a way to attach/snap together, or perhaps I'm just an idiot. The inflator end will thread on to a Schrader valve, and press on to a presta valve. Modulation is done simply by threading the CO2 canister into the body of the inflator. Seems like it ought to work well enough.
