Sounds confusing but I have Athena shifters (double not tripple), they are power shift, and have an Athena 11 tripple front derailleur and want to use that fd to shift a double chainring. Should work fine right?

I believe the lift ramps on the Athena FD are designed for a 30-39-52. It would probably work better if your double is a 39-52 (or maybe 53).

Yes..should work altho the cage dimensions are optimized to get the chain from a 30 to a 39(and then 53..not really from 39(34) to 53(50)..

Shift slowly with minimum pedal pressure(feet still moving), should be OK..'may' want to chuck it off the small tho(18t).
