happened to be listening to presentation by a guy who wrote a new book on how luck and chance impact success.
One observation he had, was about headwinds and tailwinds. Whether in life, or on the bike, it is pretty easy to observe and identify when you are facing a headwind. Not always as easy to identify when a tailwind is helping you. And even when you do notice it, it doesn't always stay in your mind for long, you just think, "gee, I'm going fast today!"
