Shutter Precision PL-8X 15mm Centerlock Question

I just received one to build up and notice that it feels to have more drag in hand than the other SP hubs I've built. I know this model has upgraded bearings and curious if that is what I'm feeling.

Anyone have first hand experience?

I built one up recently, and while I don't recall noticing a different feel, it spins just fine in the wheel.

I'm not sure what changes they made to the design between the two versions.
