No affiliation but a buddy of mine picked me up a pair in Spain. They are (at this point) not available to purchase in the US. I contacted the owner Alexander - he said he's looking for vendors here but until then is happy to ship them direct. If you're interested you have to email him through the website. Great guy and awesome socks. My whole family is now outfitted in them.

Bought like 8 pairs of SWIFTWICK at closeout prices ($5+) at SierraTrading a few months ago. Use them specifically for cycling only, put them on rotation, never run out of supply, functionally excellent, all black ... the closest thing to "set it and forget it", the stuff simply works.

Man.. why have sox gotten so tall? Can't stand tall sox.. no more than 3-5cm from the ankle bone, TOPS, for me..

But if I may piggyback in an unintrusive way here... anybody happen to have a lead on white or light gray sox with a hot pink ring or two?

Huge fan of merino socks, especially castelli cool weather merinos, but they lack the sexy bling factor.

I do have an old pair of defeet KISS army sox.... Now they rock..in Detroit City.

I have to agree with you. On their own there were some interesting socks, but not that would go with any jersey or bike that I have.

I wear Castelli Rosso Corsa a lot because they come in a 2XL size. I wear red mostly (have 8 pair) although the photo looks like I wear a lot of black. The black get worn more in winter. The blue match a jersey and in Seattle I am not sure what I have except I know I have socks to match my 7-11 jersey.

5" is the new standard for socks. I had to select a height, so that is what I went with. We can file this under, you can't please everyone.

You could always cut them down :)
