Hey guys,

I have a set of 32 hole XTR hubs laced to Edge rims on my hardtail Zanc, and last ride I noticed a loose spoke. Of course the nipple is hidden, so I have to take off the tire, tape and rim strip...oh and clean out the sealant.

I set them up tubeless with a Stan's strip, and there is tape underneath it (likely Stan's too) so it will be a proper PITA getting down to the spokes for adjustment (why are hidden nipples a good idea?). I remember there being an "older" Edge/Enve nipple, right? Anyone willing to post a link for the tool I'll need to true this thing?

Anyone have one for sale?

Thanks

Make sure you inspect the nipples with a flashlight. Older wheels are susceptible to nipple corrosion if they weren't treated right during assembly. I've seen pics of older wheels where the nipples were almost completely gone. The issue was they used alloy nipples that weren't anodized.

Thanks Eric,

So if they need replacement, do the modern Enve nipples fit? Or do I have to replace with the same non-anodized nipples?
