Hi everyone,

Does anyone here has fork sold by Holland Cycles, made by Mike Lopez?
I would like to know what is your opinion on that and how do they compare to F / S series fork made by Mike when he was with serotta.
I heard that they have aluminum drops and stiffness of 8.5, so it would be equal to S3.
Thanks.

Marko

Some good info from Mike on this thread about fork "stiffness" and measured deflection. A good guy from all I have read and seen on the forum, very open to sharing information.

Doesn't specifically address his newer forks, which I'm sure are great, but if you email him he would probably be glad to offer some information as he freely does so here on the forum from time to time.

Mike is a great guy, very generous with his knowledge. I have a feeling the fork is very similar, if not the same as the Serotta. And, maybe if you are very nice to him, he may still have the specific Serotta version for you.

Good luck!

Thank you Steve. I sure hope so, that would be nice.
Do you have his email by any chance? I'll send him a message.
I saw some of his posts here on the Paceline, I guess I can send him a PM.
Thanks again guys, I appreciate your help.

Mike Lopez is one of the guys in the carbon biz that has forgotten more than most other folks know. He makes first class product that is well tested before he puts in on the market.

For all intents and purposes the fork IS an S3. The stiffness can be tailored to your weight and riding style. Fantastic fork and aethestically very pleasing as well (at least to my eye).

When Serotta was open, my go to guy was Scott Hock (warranties, repairs, etc.). I met Mr. Ben once during bike show/expo. I wish I met Mr Mike, he was their carbon guru.
I'll shoot him a message and see what he recommends. I do miss those guys, and I'm sure some of you do too.

Thank you guys.

Not sure that that screen name is still active. Since Serotta cratered, Mike has posted under the screen name "Mike Lopez".
