For some reason, I've started to have one hell of a time posting photos here. I've tried several photo hosting sites and all of them have some sort of issue. Anyone have a site that works well"

As you know, I'm a cheap bastid, so free would be nice.

Flickr is free now. It's as easy as copying the supplied link and dumping it anywhere in your post.

Flickr. Static links are wonderful things.

I just had a Flickr photo in one of my ads and it showed as a broken link.

Imgur works as well.

i do flickr because i get to see the updates of:
Peter Weigle, Goodrich, Tomii, Kualis, Winter, and my new favorite builder Chris Bishop.

so not only does it serve as a host for my pics, but it serves as bike porn for my morning ummm coffee

Never had that issue. I always copy directly from the image size screen?

That's a static link that never changes.

That's exactly what I did. Hrumph.

any of them work fine, as does the forum uploader.

Imgur works as well.

I always used Picasa, but then recently Google forced a migration to photos.google.com/Google+ and it sucks. Can't get proper direct link anymore. Since then I still upload to there for the pictures/albums I have but anything I want to post/embed properly all goes through Imgur now. It's by far the quickest and easiest place to upload pics and get direct links to post photos in a thread (and not just an external link to pics.)

+1. Flickr integration is better though. I'll have to try it again.

been using Smugmug for many years now... you do have a small yearly fee, but the ease of us is so worth it, as is the ad-free part... recently opened a Flickr account (was going to stop paying smug mug) and quickly realized what a pain it is compared to my other account...

photobucket for me. Easy to copy the image address and use the image insert function here. The U.I. could be ALOT smoother but its free and has limited ads.

Flickr is by far the best option imo. Photobucket is meh even just as a viewer of other ppls picks its just poor.

^This. Content on some sites may be blocked unless you turn it off. I never do.
I use pbucket. Others may be better but I have a s*** ton of stuff there already.

Photobucket works, but I find it to be bloated and slow, and full of obnoxious ads that play with loud music. I'm going to be trying some others shortly.

After struggling mightily with this, I've finally had success with Google photos. It works well for me because all the photos on my phone automatically end up there. Finally figuring it out was annoying and requires too many clicks, but it worth it because I don't have to mess with getting the photo onto the app itself.

This is quite a good feature.
Flickr has this also. It automatically uploads all my new photos on my phone when I'm on my home network. I can set the auto access to "private" and then just change the setting on those i want others to c to "public" I can ofc post links or embed "private" photos on here or other places but it won't show in my feed on flickr nore can anyone else find it in any other place then where i chose to embed / post that "private" pic. Public are ofc just that.

Have many other settings as well "friends"family" etc

For a freebee i think its a great app

Easy fix... flash control plus Ghostery will take care of all of that.

Never had any problems with photobucket

I never had any problems getting photobucket links to work on this forum (or any other, really) either. However, I have a crap-ton of problems getting photobucket itself to work efficiently: It seems to be so bogged down with ads that launching the website, uploading a single pic, & copying the new link can sometimes take ~15 minutes. Ef dat.

edit:
ad blocker extension on your chrome eliminates the ads

gonna try this asap, thanks!

Woah.. I can upload and link in like 30 seconds.

The library is hella laggy, always has been.. But I haven't had any problems with uploading or linking, and pretty much never use the library (cuz once I've linked the pic, I'm moving on with life)

But, as mentioned, I also have ad blocker on chrome... So it might suck ass with ads and auto playing videos

Does tapatalk resize them or something? I can occasionally get pics to upload, but probably 90% of the time the upload gets rejected, presumably because the file size is too large
