The Pan-Mass Challenge is a 2 day, 192 mile cycling event that raises money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research in children.

It is the largest donor to Dana Farber and the largest single cycling fund-raising event in the country. Last year, approx. 4500 riders raised $21Million, which represented about $.96 of every rider fund-raising dollar.

The Red Sox are one of the PMC's major sponsors and many members of their staff, wives, and freinds help to make up Team 9 (Ted Williams' number).

There are close to a dozen of us here on the forum who will be riding in this year's event on the first weekend in August.
