That's an awfully good question. Perhaps the riders are also chipped for redundancy. A $1.00 chip is good insurance for a tour-altering technical failure.

Does anyone know what the yellow bikes are this year?

The forks look like Serotta F3 or Reynolds Ouzo Pro, to my lazy eye.

Are they still running Litespeed Ulitmates?

i think last year they were scott cr1 team issue bikes
