Anyone have one of these, or the Eleven Velo version? https://www.sfbags.com/collections/cycling-accessories/products/cycling-ride-pouch
How big is it fully loaded? Does it pull on our jersey? What size phone can you get in it? I'm looking to get a non-exploding S7, soon. It'd have a thin case on it. Fit?
Thinking I'd like to have something to put everything in & not have to remember my pump, as well. Also thinking about this: https://silca.cc/products/eolo-wallet?variant=25346557960 if I don't carry the phone.

I saw the thread from last year. Smaller than I want & not going to go with the ziplock, although it would be way cheaper.

Now I ride with this:

got it free with an order for some bike supplies.

but I'd choose a small saddle bag every time over carrying all that stuff in a jersey pocket.

Despite several tries, Soulrun just doesn't seem to want to sell to me. I've given up.

I have a smaller Sticky Pod that was an event giveaway and I use it almost every time I ride. Really nice piece of kit. Fits phone, credit/ID cards, cash, etc. and keeps them dry.

Also thinking about this: https://silca.cc/products/eolo-wallet?variant=25346557960 if I don't carry the phone.the specs for the first one says it will fit iphone 6 plus. which is a bit larger than the S7, so it should fit.

the Silca one looks nice too. personally I go that route, but with a Rapha lightweight essentials case. I stash the phone in a separate pocket in a pouch; one because those wear out over time, and two because it's easier to take in/out of pocket as needed whereas tools usually stay put until end of ride unless there's an issue. I use a frame pump, so I only need a small pouch for tube/patches/multitool. if you want something that fits a small pump too, I don't know of any other than your first link.

This is what I use, a Shure mic pouch, it was free and serves my well. $79 strikes me as very expensive for a basic pouch.

I do wonder about how heavy it will feel but I'd love to lose the saddle bag.

I do wonder about how heavy it will feel but I'd love to lose the saddle bag.this is another reason why I don't have everything in one pouch. keep toolkit in the middle, phone on right, food on left. can easily access food and phone as needed, while riding. it's spread out enough that it's not weighing anything down in one particular spot. you forget it's there a mile into the ride.

Hey MattTuck - Sorry we aren't syncing up on this, not sure where we dropped the ball but I apologize. Soulrun is just one (Laura) person sewing, packaging, replying to emails, etc.

But we do have two tool rolls in the shop right now (among other things):
https://www.etsy.com/shop/soulrun?section_id=6930518
https://img1.etsystatic.com/117/0/5802586/il_570xN.1099299313_3b33.jpg

https://img0.etsystatic.com/117/0/5802586/il_570xN.1052733952_9cp2.jpg

Although these are not specifically designed for the saddle, many folks use a toe strap or something similar to attach. I keep mine in my hydration pack.

If you need something to hold your phone, keys and cash check out some of our jersey pocket wallets in the shop right now:

If you have any questions feel free to email me joe @ soulrun dot com

Cheers,
-Joe

I was going to suggest this one too. I need something to protect my phone (other than a baggie), carry my tiny wallet and have just a smidge of room for an extra CO2 tube or so for rides off the beaten path.

Yep. That was on the list, too. And I have the 18% code (does that expire?), so extra cheap. But, no place for tubes, etc. & I have a functional pouch from Timbuk2 that works for what this one carries.

Really? Really? Are we getting just a bit too twee here?

Saddle bag holds all tools, tubes, etc. Goes from bike to bike, rear blinkie fastened to it, waterproof.

Quart freezer ziploc holds iPhone, bandana, two folded Bounty paper towels to use as snot blowers (don't ask).

Portable food supply in left pocket, ziploc in center pocket, chapstick/house or car key in right pocket.

Still have space to tuck in lightweight rain jacket, extra gloves, arm warmers, etc. if needed.

Boom!

I stopped using saddle bags when I switched away from Fizik saddles because I got tired of them falling off. I carry a Serfas zipper bag with my co2, inflator, tire lever, debit card, etc for long rides and a Blackburn heavy duty zip lock style bag short trips.

I used a Crown Royal bag for years, but then one day I realized my spare tubular's sidewalls were wearing through strapped against my saddle rails, so I stuck the spare in the Crown Royal bag and moved my tools n **** to a Thomson stem pouch, which actually works a lot better for that anyway. Plus people dig my CR pouch toe clip strapped to the saddle

No way in hell im paying a bunch of money for a fricken pouch, especially when there's rad free things to use

I have the small cycling pouch and like the video on their website says it lays flat and sits nicely in jersey pocket. It is definitely less noticeable while riding than the small Sticky Pod bag I had previously. I have IPhone 6 and it fits nicely. It can handle a wider phone but not the plus model. I think they have bigger pouch that just came out and one that you can access the phone without unzipping the pouch. The slot to put your phone is on the outside. If you have a screen protector on your phone you will not be able to use your phone while it is inside the bag. This is the stuff I carry but it can hold more if needed. Nice product.

important stuff
http://brown-snout.com/cycling/tech/diy-tool-roll/IMG_3639.JPG

pump is the long-pole in the tent, so tubes "reformatted" appropriately
http://brown-snout.com/cycling/tech/diy-tool-roll/IMG_3640.JPG

misc bits arranged neatly and skinny, to fit easily into a jersey pocket -- pouch needs to fit this!
http://brown-snout.com/cycling/tech/diy-tool-roll/IMG_3641.JPG

<5 minutes with a sewing machine -> custom cordura pouch
http://brown-snout.com/cycling/tech/diy-tool-roll/IMG_3642.JPG

always wrap in a small rag, to clean greasy hands after doing roadside fixes
http://brown-snout.com/cycling/tech/diy-tool-roll/IMG_3644.JPG

in we go!
http://brown-snout.com/cycling/tech/diy-tool-roll/IMG_3645.JPG

cinched snugly, plus a compass for insurance

I picked up a Strawfoot ride wallet this season and I've been pleased so far.

Well made, good materials, reasonably priced and they offer custom sizes for only $5 additional. I have the standard size and I can fit an iPhone 6s with a lifeproof case. It's a tight fit with a bulky case like the lifeproof, but it does fit.

I use a http://jerseybin.com/ for my phone and money, which is just a plastic bag that you can use a touchscreen through. All tools and stuff are on the bike...

I wish they sold them without the logos and crap all over one side though, can't use phone camera inside the bag, unless you want the writing on the screen side.
