Charles, you can use a chainring bolt. At least I was able to.
C-Record may be different (although I doubt it), but it is possible to use a chainging bolt and some spacers with Record alloy cranks.
It may require a little hand-filing to shorten the bolt (depending on length) and you'll need to measure carefully for the spacers. Would help to have a variety of widths of spacers play with / choose from.

Which 'C Record'? 1994 and older? Or modern, with the bolt that threads into the crank arm(1995 thru preset)? First gen used a normal crank bolt and track or pista 'nut'..

If its the record C crankset I have in mind, then you need one of this ones... or locate a back of one of this ones or a campagnolo one.
